How would getting your drivers license in a foreign country work

How would getting your drivers license in a foreign country work?
If I had a suspended license here in the U.S., but decided to go to Peru,(or,where ever) and became a citizen, would I be able to apply to get a drivers license, with out having to deal with all the hassle of having to get it re-invoked if I was to continue staying in the U.S.?

yes you would be able to get your license there without hassle regarding your US drivers license.

Yes you can get a license in a foreign country independent of your US license status. Yes you can get an international license good in most countries independent of your US license status. If I understand your question correctly, would that then give you a clear US license for use in the USA. Yes, and no. The international license would be generally honored if you are a foreign national in the USA, but may or may not be honored if you are living in the USA, depending on state and court should you be stopped. What works abroad is to always have an International license, and if stopped abroad and your license is taken, you lose nothing by the official taking it and can obtain another. To live in the USA you need a current address state license, the internatinal license or foreign license only allows you some wiggle room to tiddy up your papers upon return mostly on kindness of heart of the officials here in the USA.

What visa is needed for consultancy work in South America

What visa is needed for consultancy work in South America?
I’m going to be giving some sustainability consultancy in various South American countries from October for a 6-month period. I’m a UK citizen and I would be paid by a consultancy firm based in England. I would like to live in Peru but the work I do might be for any one of the surrounding countries, or many of them simultaneously (including Peru)….some of the work will be remote, i.e. over the internet. I’ll be taxed on my earnings based on the UK system, where I’m registered as a sole trader. My question is whether I will need some sort of working visa to carry out the work for the countries I offer assistance to? The work I do will be for public administrations but it isn’t clear how much there will be or who exactly I’ll be working for, specifically. Complicated!!!

Yes, you need a work visa in Peru, and you will need a business visa (which will allow you to work for a few time). As a British citizen you dont need a visa, for this countries, if you are going for visit or tourism, but you are not allowed to work there.
