How much money would I need to live in Lima, Peru and not have to worry about working

How much money would I need to live in Lima, Peru and not have to worry about working?
I think one dollar equals to 3 peruvian dollars. But what is the cost of living? If I wanted to buy a nice house and retire there, how much U.S. dollars would I need? I like Lima Peru. Also as I side note, I'm 26 years old I do have a college degree in business administration and I'm coversational in the spanish language, but not an expert. Can I move and work there? I visited peru and just loved it! I am Greek, but, I was born in the U.S. Are there any american companies in Peru I could work for? Like banks or somewhere? But remember again, I'm not an expert in the spanish language, just moderate/conversational. I obviously prefer someone answer my question who has lived in peru or know the country pretty well. Thank you!

I have never lived in Peru. But I have been there 4 times.. and my friend is now a missionary there... she has been for the past 2 years.. also, next year I am going down to help start an orphanage... I love it there too! :) It really depends on where you want to live... If you want to live in Mira Flores then yes.. things are going to be very comparable to the states... but if you want to live in San Luis or San Borja than things are going to be pretty cheap. But if you are looking into buying a house then you are going to want it to be somewhere safe, aka, more expensive... My friend lives in Lima, she rents a section of a house from a family. The church supports her with about $500 a month... doesn't seem like a whole lot to us.. But it is down there! Sorry I can't give you definite answers. But it's something! Ps. There are websites that you can search for houses for sale down there... but I honestly wouldn't trust something like that... One of those things where you have to 'try it and find out.' Good luck!
