Plug Adapters and Converters for Peru?
I'm traveling to peru on monday( i will be in a home stay and not a hotel) and i need to buy at least some plug adapters...but i don't know which kind. when i lived in Chile, the outlets were little round circles..is it the same in peru? and in chile, i had a converter but my small electronics (camera, ipod, phone charger) all worked fine without the converter. Will I need to buy another one for peru(for the same electronics) ?? thank you !

Plugs in Peru are both the type you're describing for Chile, the "European type" of two pins, pictured here http://www.connevans.co.uk/store/images/776947ecb.gif And the type of two flat blades used in the USA, pictured here http://www.connevans.co.uk/store/images/776855ecb.gif Peru uses 220 volts/60 cycles. You'll need a converter (if your appliances are 110 volts) as well as plug adapters if you don't already have the compatible plugs.

there electric is based on a 220 volt system unlike america but the plugs that are in america are the same in all of south america the only issue that you will for see is that the house have limited outlets unlike america you will be lucky to find one on each wall, make sure you use a converter on all 120 volt items, Computers and cell phones you will not have any problem will. there is something called a name plate on all of your things this will tell you the working voltage for everything you have if it says 100-250 you do not need a converter but if it only says 100 -120 you will. i did not know this and i burt up and electric razor in malaysia. good luck have a safe trip

Can I pay off ecuadorian border officials to get into the country for one day

Can I pay off ecuadorian border officials to get into the country for one day?
I want to know if I can pay off an ecuadorian border patrol official to let me in from Brazil. I am an american and have no criminal intent. Its just that my tourist visa in ecuador will expire before my return flight back to the states and I would like to go to brazil or Peru after the expiration of my Visa. Do you think it will work? I just need to get back into ecuador for one day to catch my return flight home. Thanks!

Maybe, maybe not. It is also possible that you could be arrested for trying to bribe them and/or sneaking into the country. I'd try to get a short extension.

I doubt it very much and i personally wouldn't attempt it, why not get in touch with the place that issued you the visa and ask them what to do. You might end up in a Brazilian prison and i don't think you would enjoy the experience.

If you leave ecuador, cross over into brazil or peru, then try to go back into ecuador, you should receive a fresh visa. So, you should have no problems. Leave ecuador, hang out for a bit in peru or brazil, then when you need to go back to ecuador you should get a new stamp in your passport, and in turn a new tourist visa. You may get less days on your visa than you got before, but should be a month at least, and enough to catch your flight home. This border crossing proceedure is pretty common for extending stays in any country in South America.

maybe .. im from ecuador . if you get pull over you give them 5bucks and they let you gooooo.,

even though it's illegal i probably think that for 50 bucks u could do it.!.. by the way Ecuador's amazing!

As Tony said, you just need to get your passport re-stamped when you re-enter Ecuador. Remember, they are still going to check your passport when you pay your Airport Tax to leave the country, and if the most recent visa in your passport has expired, you will not only not be allowed to board your plane, but you will have to go to a government office and pay a fine before they'll let you leave. I had a friend who had accidentally been here in Ecuador for 91 days last summer on a 90-day tourist visa when she tried to leave. They wouldn't let her on a plane until she paid a several-hundred dollar fine, and ended up missing the original flight and having to catch another the next morning.

Do nutritionists In Peru make good money? and how much?
My friend says she is poor but she has a masters degree and she works as a nutritionist. I was just wondering what kind of money she makes because I think she is shy about telling me She works at the biggest hospital in Peru

Depends on where she works.... it can be at a gym (and depending on the gym she can make really good money or not much); house - to -house service which is really up to her and how long her contact list is... depends on many factors actually. Do you think you could say some of these? It'll be easier to get a correct answer

You're looking for a job? well this isnt the best section for that. I would just say that you go to various touristic stores and give them your resume.

I'm from Lima, and i visited Cuzco a couple of times. Well, there are a lot of touristic places in Cuzco, i think it will be easy to find a job because you speak english and Japanese. But i don't know if you're going to make a lot of money. Good Luck!
