Why are there so many countries is south america? and what are their differences

Why are there so many countries is south america? and what are their differences?
I can understand why Brazil was it's own country because it being a Portuguese colony and not a Spanish one. But why didn't the Spanish countries of South America join together more? I know they have their differences now but hey couldn't have had many differences when they were gaining independence. Spanish Speaking: Argentina Bolivar Chile Columbia Ecuador Paraguay Peru Uruguay Venezuela Portuguese: Brazil Why didn't Gran Columbia work? and why are there so many spanish speaking countries in south america group together more?

Have you ever had a look at a recent map of Europe. We were always divided in many different countries but lately it has almost become impossible to keep up. South America is a big continent and unlike the U.S.it has always been divided through differences in the population. It was easier for a newly settled country like the U.S. to make a Confederation, the indigenous inhabitants were a small minority in comparison to the settlers, who might have been of different origin but had the same final goal.

language alone can NOT be a reason two countries should have been one. What about the US and Canada then??

If he has a conditional two year green card yes, the petition you filed for him to have permanent residence is invalid and he must leave. If you have gone beyond the two year period and he has a permanent (ten year) green card, then no, he is entitled to stay indefinitely.

When it’s 15:00 Saturday September 22, 2007 in London, UK it is: 16:00:00 Saturday September 22, 2007 in Budapest, Hungary (daylight savings is in effect). 09:00 Saturday September 22, 2007 in Jamaica (daylight savings is not in effect). 19:00 Saturday September 22, 2007 Karachi, Pakistan (daylight savings is not in effect). I couldn’t find Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. 09:00:00 Saturday September 22, 2007 in Lima, Peru (daylight savings is not in effect).
